B.B.A. (Shipping & Logistics), a specialized programme, one of its kind in the state of Goa was established in the year 2013 to meet the manpower needs of the industry. The college at first began with B.Com. (Shipping Management) programme under UGCs innovative industry related course in the year 2009, before reinventing it as B.B.A. (Shipping & Logistics).

Upon completion of the B.B.A. (Shipping & Logistics) programme students will gain competence in undertaking entry level managerial position in Shipping & Logistics related organizations. Students will have various options to build their career in areas such as Export Import, Chartering, Marine Insurance, Maritime Law, Retail Business Management, Liner Companies, Freight Forwarding/Multimodal operators, Customs, Air Cargo section, and Logistics department of any organization. After completing B.B.A. (Shipping & Logistics) programme students can pursue a Master’s degree in Shipping and Logistics or allied areas.

  • ADMISSION TO BACHELOR OF BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION - SHIPPING & LOGISTICS (BBA S&L)

    To be eligible for admission to the first year of the Three Years Programme leading to the Degree of Business Administration (Bachelor of Business Administration(Shipping & Logistics)) the candidate should have passed the Higher Secondary School Certificate (Std. XII) examination in any stream, including Vocational stream from a recognized board.

    The Criteria of selection would be as follows:

      • XII Std. Marks
      • Entrance Exam
      • Personal Interview

    Admission Procedure

    A) Undergraduate Programme - B.B.A. & B.B.A. - Shipping & Logistics Semester I & II The admission process will be managed in online mode through the SAMARTH e-gov Portal of the Directorate of Higher Education DHE, Government of Goa. Candidates aspiring to seek admission should register themselves on the SAMARTH e-gov Portal. Upon registration on the SAMARTH e-gov Portal, the students will be able to generate login credentials required to login to the SAMARTH e-gov Portal for all future correspondence.

      1. The Admission link is available on the college website https://www.mescollege.org/ and Directorate of Higher Education (DHE) website https://dhe.goa.gov.in/resource/admissiondata/
      2. Gmail ID is mandatory to begin the admission process.
      3. The following documents are required to be uploaded during the admission process:-
        1. A passport size photo of the candidate and signature of the candidate (not exceeding 1 MB and in .jpg format).
        2. Scanned copy of original marksheet of SSC/ Equivalent examination
        3. Scanned copy of original marksheet of HSSC/ Equivalent examination
        4. Scanned copy of original Leaving Certificate/ Transfer Certificate
        5. Eligibility Certificate (in original) issued by Goa University (for those students who have passed standard XII or any other equivalent examination through any other recognized Board other than Goa Board, if applicable)
      4. Each Candidate is allowed to make only one application per stream on the admission portal.
      5. Only students selecting our college as the first preference will be considered while preparing the merit list.
      6. After completion of the online process, students will be called for counselling in the college. The students will be contacted via email and the merit list will be uploaded on the college website
      7. The student has to be present with the following documents
        1. Print copy of online admission
        2. 3 passport sized photographs
        3. Original and photocopy of SSC marksheet/ Equivalent examination
        4. Original and photocopy of HSSC marksheet/ Equivalent examination
        5. Eligibility Certificate (in original) issued by Goa University (for those students who have passed standard XII or any other equivalent examination through any other recognized Board other than Goa Board, if applicable)
        6. Photocopy of original Caste Certificate/Physical Disability/Economically Weaker Section, if applicable
        7. Original and self-attested copy of Aadhar card
        8. Bank Passbook and self-attested photocopy of the first page
        9. Undertaking by the students, Undertaking by the parents, and Undertaking for discipline and attendance (The Undertakings will be given during the counselling session)
      8. The student should pay the admission fees after the counselling and subject allocation. Fees may differ according to the subjects selected.
      9. Admission will be confirmed only after full payment of fees. Failure to submit the necessary documents will lead to cancellation of admissions
      10. For applicants who are not shortlisted in the first round of admission:
        1. A passport size photo of the candidate and signature of the candidate (not exceeding 1 MB and in .jpg format).
        2. Applicants may get a chance in the second round of admission, depending on the availability of seats.

    (B) The Admission procedure for Semesters III, IV, V, VI, VII & VIII under NEP will be updated shortly according to the ordinance and notifications received from Goa University and Directorate of Higher Education (DHE)

    Note: No Student shall be given admission after the date specified by Goa University. * Subject to change

    Students from HSSC Boards other than Goa have to get Provisional Eligibility Certificate from Goa University within 3 months you have to submit MIGRATION Certificate.

    FYBBA(Shipping & Logistics) students visited Astra Metal Systems Limited, Verna as part of their course Marketing Management course on 4th April 2025.

     

    Students of TY BBA (S&L) visited Machado and Sons Agents & Stevedores Pvt. Ltd., Verna on 24th February 2025 as part of their Warehouse Management course. Students learned about different types of warehouses and warehouse operations.

    SYBBA (Shipping & Logistics) students visited Stone Water Eco Resort, Dabolim on 10th February, 2025 as part of their course Business Research Methods.

    Students of TY BBA (S&L) visited Reis Magos Fort and Museum of Goa, Pilerne Goa on 08th February 2025 as part of their Cultural Heritage of Goa 2 course.

    Dr. Abdul Razak and Ms. Rujuta Sabane of EDII, Goa conducted Entrepreneurship Awareness Program for FYBBA and FYBBA (Shipping & Logistics) students on 20th March 2025. 

    Mr. Arvind Giri, Management Consultant conducted a session on Start-up Opportunities in the Shipping & Logistics Industry as part of Converge 2.0 an initiative of GSHEC and DHE for FYBBA (Shipping & Logistics) and SYBBA (Shipping & Logistics) students on 10th March 2025.

    SYBBA (Shipping & Logistics) student SCC Nuzhan Ahmad Shaikh was felicitated at Governer's House by Deputy Director General (DDG) Air Commodore Bevinmarad Arun Kumar for the contribution towards all the NCC Events.

    Jasper from SYBBA (Shipping & Logistics) secured third place in Poetry in Wordsup intercollegiate event organised by St. Xaviers College on 24th and 25th February 2025.

    Mr. Abhishek Chavan, TYBBA (Shipping & Logistics) students secured first place in Shotput and Discuss Throw, and Third place in Javelin Throw in XLVI Annual Atheletic Meet 2024-25 organised by Department of Physical Education and Sports on 11th January, 2025.

    Cadet Nuzhan Sheikh of SYBBA (Shipping & Logistics) is promoted to highest rank for cadets in NCC to Senior Cadet Captain. He is the only cadet to hold this rank in Goa.
